Carved Vase by Margaret Tafoya
The spiritual experience involving the four elements of earth, water, fire and air come together in the creation of a most irrestible and appealing art form of Native American Pueblo pottery making. The entire evolution is personal and heartfelt, thus collectors will continue to be drawn to the mystery and beauty of fine Southwestern pottery. To understand this process is to desire these for your own home.
2 Eagle Dancer Kachinas
This complex art form is a representation of spiritual messengers of the gods, carved from cottonwood. Over time and more competition the detail continues to improve, along with prices rising to an all-time high. These dancers represent inspired and dedicated carvers guided by the spirits and are a demonstration of Hopi culture. Many artists feel their Kachinas have a soul and spirit.
